The Curtain Falls on Cirque du Soleil at Disney Springs

After a few thousand shows over a stunning 19-year run, La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil will close this year at Disney Springs.

First debuting in 1998, La Nouba was long considered a headline attraction at Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs). Over the years, however, the show has become a bit forgotten about, recognizable mainly by its iconic white theater at the far end of Disney Springs’ West Side. Despite adding new acts to spice things up recently, Disney has confirmed that La Nouba will have a final performance on December 31, 2017.

While rumors of this have been circulating for months now, it’s good to get some confirmation on Disney’s part about the show. With West Side undergoing a whole bunch of changes (both announced and unannounced) in the next year or two, I can’t say I’m surprised La Nouba is getting the axe along with Disney Quest.

Currently, it is unknown what will be replacing La Nouba but I wouldn’t be very shocked to see another Cirque show take up residence in the existing theater.

If you’re looking to see the show one last time visit or call 407-939-7600 to get information on current performances and offers.

Now, go have a day!
